MIT's World-Wide LGBT Alumni Group
Welcome to the new BGLATA (formerly BGALA) website. Our mission is to provide a social and professional network for MIT affiliates who are supportive of bisexual, gay, lesbian and transgender minorities, including a dedication to improving the quality of life for these minorities at the Institute and beyond.
We have a variety of annual events, the largest being the Annual Tech Reunion Reception, Educational Meetings on topics such as careers, LGBT interests and Legal Rights, bi-monthly lunches and summer boat cruises.
We're also looking to branch out to create more activities across the country. Contact Michael Galvin '90
if you are interested in leading an activity in your area.
Friday, June 09, 2017 BGLATA 2017 Tech Reunion Reception Join fellow BGLATA members, graduating students, and their families for our annual Tech Week reception to celebrate our new alumni. Appetizers and beverages provided free of charge. RSVP Required.
Please join us in supporting LBGTQ@MIT, which works to create a welcoming campus-wide community where lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, questioning individuals, and their allies are all welcomed as equals. Over the past 10 years, LBGTQ and Rainbow Lounge programs and services have helped to empower and affirm hundreds of students as well as MIT staff, faculty, and alumni.
The Rainbow Lounge and LBGTQ and Ally programs have helped the undergraduate and graduate students at MIT for years and now we are asking for your support. This organization has become the go-to resource for LBGTQ related advocacy, training, education, and support services for the entire MIT community. Now we are looking to ensure that these services will always available to students and we would love for you to join us in showing your support. Please consider donating!
